Classic View of St Petersburg
All bridges in St Petersburg are very low, so that Peter the Great's views from the Palace would not be obstructed. At night, these bridges are opened to allow ship traffic to reach the city. There is only one point from which this classic view of the Peter and Paul Cathedral across the Neva river through the opened Dvortsovyy bridge can be seen.
